Description
This unique and original slipware colander bowl is suitable for a nice chunky soap. It’s design is deep,so your soap fits snug inside. The holes allow your soap to dry out between uses and there are little raised blobs of clay inside too, so your favourite soap will always store safely.
I have used terracotta clay and added a nice squashy coil to the rim which looks rather like a pie crust! A thick creamy white slip has been applied and then I’ve decorated it with splashes of blue and green and even drawn a simple daisy….. a pottery technique called sgraffito! As with all my designs it is covered in a durable and shiny glaze.
